On Wednesdays, classified ads submitted to WUNA will be compiled into one notice for the WUNA listserv using a Town Crier format. Classified ads can include items for sale, garage sales, "want-to-buy" ads, "situation wanted" ads, for example, looking for someone to trim trees, homes for sale by owner, plus more. Ads must be submitted in simple text (no graphics or html please) with a limit of ten (10) lines per classified. (For-Sale-By-Owner Home ads with more detail can also submitted individually to the WUNA listserv.) Submit classified ads to Kate Hunter

This web page caused a great deal of controversy, so it has been removed. Another solution to finding contractors can be to use Yelp. Local users would put in Urbana, IL as the location and the type of business they are interested in. Presently, there do not appear to be any reviews of local contractors, roofers, etc. and there are not that many of those kinds of businesses listed. The community can add reviews and companies to the site to make it a useful tool.

Angie's List is just starting in our community. It is presently free for the first year because it is in its beginning stages here. It is another service that will take the work of the community to function properly.
